As you ask a question or command the Macsen app, the message is transmitted to a remote server for processing. The server will not store recordings of your voice or texts.

Your device location is attached to each message transmitted to a remote server for processing and providing information specific to your location. For example, the weather at your present location.

In order to fullfil location dependent requests, your location may be used in calls to third-party API services.

We do not collect your location in the backgroud and we do not store your locations on remote servers. If you choose to not give Macsen permission to use your location, the app will still function, but will default to using Bangor, Wales for any location dependent requests.

Your IP address is used for the sole purpose of protecting our servers from malicious DDOS by ensuring that the same IPs cannot flood our servers with multiple requests in a very short space of time and is not held indefinitely.

If you wish to help improve the Macsen app, by recording the sentences provided via the Hyfforddi (Train) tab, then your recordings will be kept and stored on the app’s remote server. In time, these recordings will be published with as a development or test set and licensed with an open source permissive license. This will mean that anyone will be able to make unrestricted use of these recordings. No personal details are collected and associated with recordings and sentences.

For the purposes of counting the number of people using the Macsen app, we count the number of downloads and updates from the Google Play Store. We do not collect user personal details.
